It's summer! Hope you are reading lot's of books! Don't forget the New Berlin Public Library Program.

 

MISSION and POLICIES

The mission of the Fr. Edward Wieland Memorial Library is to provide Holy Apostles School students with the resources to learn about their faith and the world, support the curriculum, and develop a life-long love of reading.

Checkout Terms

  • 4 and 5 Year Old Kindergarten – one book for one week
  • 1st Grade – 1 book for one week until after Christmas, then 2 books for one week
  • 2nd through 5th Grades – 2 books for one week
  • 6th through 8th Grades – 4 books for two weeks

Checkouts and Overdues

Renewals are permitted. A fine of 15 cents/day is assessed for all books returned one month or more past the due date. Report cards are not issued to students with outstanding fines or library books that are more than 2 weeks overdue. Overdue notices are sent home via the blue folder once a book is more than 2 weeks overdue. Dedicated parent volunteers look for missing books in the library before an overdue notice is sent home. Please take all notices seriously and return or renew books promptly. Thank you.

Here's a link to places to look for lost books. Hint - most lost books are found in lockers, backpacks, or classrooms - really!

Staff, Parent and Student Use of Library

School staff may use the library at any time. The Athena computerized library search system is available to all teachers in their classrooms.The library is open to students during the school day. Parents may borrow books for their own use by stopping by the library during school hours.

Monday - Mrs. Dahlem (2nd), Mrs. Walk (3rd), Mrs. Perrault (4K), Mrs. Rushmer 5K), Mrs. Hurley (5K)

Tuesday - 6th and 7th grade, Mrs. Schwieso (4th), Sr. Jodene (4th)

Wednesday - 8th Grade, Mr. Bennett (1st)

Thursday - Mrs. Eyssautier (5th), Mrs. Kelm (5th), Mrs. Bergan (1st), Mrs. Bill (2nd), Mrs. Nyman (3rd)
